Netflix Confirms ‘Castlevania’ Season 3 Release Date

This afternoon, Netflix revealed on Twitter that the third season of the beloved Castlevania series officially arrives on March 5, 2020. Developed by Adi Shankar and based on the video game series of the same name, Castlevania first premiered on Netflix on July 7, 2017. The first two seasons of Castlevania follow monster hunter Trevor Belmont during his quest to defend the nation of Wallachia from Dracula and his minions.

If you’re a fan of Castlevania, you’ll be happy to know the third season of the animated horror series was greenlit for ten episodes, two more than the previous season, and six more than the first. The show’s popularity might come as a surprise to some, but according to Netflix analytics, following the release of season two, the series reportedly garnered nearly 30 million viewers worldwide, making it one of Netflix’s most successful original animated shows of all time.
